Hi All,

I have a MFS screen. I need to display a field initially with an underscore "_". And then on the screen the user should have the ability to mark it "X" or leave is as it is (which is "_")...I am not saving that information anywhere. So, I dont want that to be part of the transaction.

this is what I did on the DIF/DOF...

F023 DFLD POS=(18,58),LTH=001,FILL=C'_'

got the following error....

DFS1332I SC=04 POSITION MARKER: |
DFS1333I SC=04 REC'D: 'FILL'
DFS1334I SC=04 EXPECTED: POS LTH ATTR EATT
SLDP SLDI

Is there any way to resolve this?? I am new to MFS...I may not even be using the right terminologies pertaining to MFS....please help me.

Thanks,
RC

What does your MFLD look like? If the user has the ability to enter the field, you must allow for that.
