Hello,

Recently one of our dataset got deleted, I want to track down the ID who deleted the Dataset. Its a CA-Librarian Dataset. Is it possible to track the ID who deleted the dataset? If yes, then how is it possible?

Thanks,
Subha

Hi,
you need to interrogate the SMF data, record type 17.

Hello,

The info you want is in SMF records.

If you talk with your storage management people, they may already have something that will show what you want by running a simple report.

It will help if you can tell them when the dataset was deleted.

I prefer the type 65, which covers both VSAM and non VSAM datasets, and also indicates whether a DELETE or a UNCATALOG was actioned against the dataset.
