Hi,

whenever i submit a job, it always gets logged in spool with the name prefixed by my mainframe userid, and not with the name that was provided in job.

please let me know how to override this or change any settings in TSO/ISPF.

Regards,
Chinna.

Are you submitting thru ISPF edit? If your JCL has a valid JOB card, then perhaps system exit IKJEFF10 is overriding your name.

Are the other fields of the JOB card the same as the one in your JCL (only the name is changed)?

Hello,

This sounds like a control feature in use on your system.

I suggest you talk with the system support or scheduling people and find out if you have any alternatives. What you describe is somewhat common, but is site-specific.
