Hi All,

Need Your help on this.....

I have got GDG with 53 versions, now I want to include all the versions from no. 27 to 45 and then from 50 to 53, Is there a way to code this other than manual doing as GDG (-1), GDG(-2) GDG (-3)....... so on.

Thanks.

Try this,

Step 1: Take Backup of Original
Step2: Rename Old one
Ste3. Create new GDG and Versions as you like and copy acordingly

:-)

\Hope this helps .. icon_rolleyes.gif

Besides coding GDG(-1), etc. you may also code the full name GDG.G0053V00, etc. to get the files desired. Less prone to errors if files are added/removed and relative locations shift.

that' s one of the reason that wise organizations frown on long term GDG utilization

it' s easy to remember a week of gdg management ,
but how in &heaven is somebody going to remember
if the job wants the -223 or the -232 generation
created about 6 months and 17 days before when
there had been 4 abend and 3 reruns and the operator
who did run the job at that time has left the company 12.gif
