What is the run JCL for simple COBOL program and for DB2-COBOL program or there would be no difference.

Hello Prasad,

Yes JCLs mentioned in your post differ. Please check this link for sample JCLs-

http://www.ibmmainframes.com/jcls.php

At that link check for "Source: IBM COBOL" and "Source: DB2 - Batch".

You can check these things at your shop as well, usually different shops follow differnt standards for the JCLs in question.

Hello Prasad and welcome to the forums,

You need to check with your peers or your system and/or database support to learn the proper jcl to use on your system. Systems have standard complie/link jcl and you should use the system standard.

You should not use jcl you found on a web search or posted on some forum.
