Hi,

You can find it from LISTCAT and from allocated space you can do that

This is a portion of LISTCAT OUTPUT

Code:

ALLOCATION
  SPACE-TYPE------CYLINDER
  SPACE-PRI-------------50
  SPACE-SEC-------------10

Hi Premkrishnan,

Thanks for your help.
One more thing which strikes my mind is whenever for a Dataset primary space gets full , the dataset takes into account of secondary space and i want to know how any DBMS (for example:DB2) will take the extents concept here.

In the example told by you , you have mentioned the LDS primary alloc is 50 cyl and secondary alloc is 10 cyl , so what can be the maximum size of this LDS taking into account with its secondary allocation with extents.

Could you please help me out here.

Thanks in advance

regards

ubm_ak19,

don't you ever read manuals? IBM Redbooks would be a good place to start.
