Query regarding Backout and DBRC parameter

Hi,

I have the following questions.

1.Whether a Backout is required for an update job which does not uses
checkpoint logic?
2. What is the necessity of DBRC parameter(that is set to 'Y' or 'N') in an update job?

Could you please clarify these.

Hi Paul, welcome to the forum.

We advise topic starters to, before posten a question, do some investigation themselves. In the IMS forum you will find some stickies to help you. One of them points you to where a lot of information can be found. If you didn't follow the sticky (first link, also in my signature) please do so next time before posting.

Anyway, here information about DBRC and RECON. Just search and explore.
