Change in Set Connect Option

Please let me know that may I change the Set Connect Options of any Record.
Say one Record has option as 'OM' and i wish to change it as 'MA' then what will be the impact of this change on that record's behavior and will this be fisible to make this kind of changes.

Hi,

First of all changing is not in application programmemr hand. Its DBA's work.

If the se tconnections DISCONNECT option you want to change, its your call to decide whether you want to delete it or leave it remote.

Always a MA Would be preferrable.
