Migration to COBOL LE - missing DD names ?

Hello Support Team,

I am converting COBOL II programs into COBOL Enterprise LE and have run in to a problem where COBOL II has run without using the COBOL DD names of :

//CONTROL
//CNTRLRPT

COBOL LE abends when these DD names are not in the JCL. Are these names used as temporary space with COBOL II? Why would COBOL LE require them? Can anyone please explain this strange phenomenon?

You probably received no replies to your first post because there was not enough detail provided

If you post the complete jcl of the failed job as well as the diagnostinc info created by the abend, we may be able to offer suggestions.
