HI,

In some language 'logical unit of work' is coded as below:

Program STARTLUW
Startluw
ReadHold MyRec
Map SublibA:MyMap
GetMap SublibA:MyMap
Change MyRec
SyncPoint

What will be the equivalents for 'startluw' & 'SyncPoint' in pl/1?

Not pl/i nor assembler nor any other mainframe language issue

the LUW start is implied at the first database ( in wide sense ) modification operation

the luw end is marked by ...
implicitly by the end of task
explicitly by a checkpoint, syncpoint, commit operation

all depends on
the environment... batch - online
the online monitor... IMS - CICS - ....
the database... IMS/DB - DB2 - ....
