How to catalog datasets to a particular data sets

hai,
while iam trying to bring up a mini system the follwing are the steps and difficulties i faced what i want to know is how to catalog datasets to a particular data sets

You want to catalog datasets in a different catalog (a user cat that will become a master cat on the other system)? You can use the CATALOG paramater in IDCAMS when defining catalog entries.
