How to add an record at the middle of the file in vsam

plz give me an sugestion how to add an record at the middle of the file in vsam.with suitable syntax.

Hi,

In VSAM, u have ESDS, where in the possibility of inserting records is ruled out. U can add only in the last. So u cant use ESDS in this case.

In KSDS, u can insert records. But inserting of records totally depends on the key value of the KSDS file. Its done automatically by checking the Index set in Index component.

Not getting your question exactly... What do you mean by at the Middle of a file?. Can you give me more clear examples...so that i can check if it is possible.
