How to know name of a person thru his ID in TSO & vice versa

So there is no generic TSO/TSPD command for this ?
I slightly rememebr command like 'who is < id > ' but I know it's incomplete, also not sure if these commands are it's system dependent or generic.
I know some ID having a endevor member checked out , but want to know his name so I can contact him/her.

Hello,

You might ask the security admin to call this person and ask them to contact you (if they are not permitted to give out "names").

You could also use a TSO SEND command and send that uid a message asking them to contact you.

Thanks dick for sharing. Just while looking TSO SEND, it finally(!!) strike me the command I was talking about -

It's -

To know some name if we know his user ID -
TSO U < id >

To know some ID if we know his name -
TSO W <last name>

I am not sure it's generic( I was not able to find this anywhere on internet at least) or not or at my shop it trigger some scripts to give the result. Someone else can try it and confirm.

Hi,
it is not generic i have tried with your command,
we use the command 'TSO WHOIS <ID>' to know the name of the
person with specific ID.

TSO LU <id> command will work only if you have RACF.
If you have other security products.. you will end up with..

any rule for accessing such info is strictly installation dependant,
it relies on security manager commands,
and querying the security manager for other users info is not considered a general user command

when You were hired You should have been given some training on general practices to be followed
when communicating with other people in Your organization,
the advice is to follow those rules and not to play around with commands
You might not be supposed to be using
