User Abend 688 when expediting

Hi

I am trying to expedit my program , but i am getting user abend 688.

Please help me out.

Look in the appropriate documentation for the informaton about a U0688 abend.

There is probably some other diagnostic informaton avaliable. You need to post that information for people here to be able to help.

Hi,

UXXXX are user abends, the reason of such abends are local to your shop (the company, you work in) so everyone here would just guess about what happened at your end.

You should search the code U0688 in the program you are 'xpediting'. BTW, If this was an IMS program, the approach to this abend would differ. And yes again, please post the info requested by Dick.

In general the abend U0688 occurs due to inactive IMS region, just check it once, whether your job class is active for IMS jobs.
