hi


your given some lrecl=80 in dcb in jcl in creation of ps or pds member that comes the physical record length.that means actual record length.The logical record length means in cobol program your giving file discreption in that youare giving record length that is logical record length this is not physically exist but you are giving some legth in cobol.that is logical legth.

But in generally it will same for cobol given legth and lrecl in dcb in jcl.Other wise it gives file error 39.
