Hello

We generally pass values from JCL to COBOL program thru either PARM or SYSIN card. If we pass through PARM, we receive thru LINKAGE section. How do we receive DATA in a COBOL program if we send thru' SYSIN card.

Also, for COBOL-DB2 program, we send it thru PARMS("values") in the SYSTSIN card using PGM=IKJEFT01. In this case we can receive through Linkage section am i corect in saying this ?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

HI Tintin,

If you are passing through SYSIN, You have to receive in the Cobol Program through ACCEPT statements.

Regards
Tanden

Yes , we have to define a linkage section to receive the PARMS.
