Hi,

Can anybody help me in writing a macro which will read the information from the line pointed by the cursor.

My aim is to open a dataset, from jcl, in edit/browse mode by just positioning the cursor on it and running a macro.

Thanks in advance,
Nick.

That sounds a lot like the EDIT macro called ZOOM. Here is a link to the source:

It's an ISPF EDIT macro, so it MUST be in a library allocated to SYSPROC.
