I know this command but this is for non-VSAm dataset...

I really search to alias a VSAM dataset.

What do you think about aliasing index, data and cluster ?

Will this working?

Hi Thy, I don't think that an Alias for a VSAM can be defined but you can only define an alias for a different catalog.

I suppose that I'd like to know the reason of your search.

The reason of my search is to avoid copying a large VSAM, while it's nedded for a few time, and only for read.

After a search I found this wonderful link that resume the ASM commands(look for Defining Alias):

I'm not sure if it work as you need but I'm sure that you can test it.

I hope in this link.
