FTP ABENDED DUE TO A JOB SUBMISSION

Hi All,

I was doing a FTP to transfer a PS from my Mainframe to PC. While FTP Transfer process is going on, Some other user submitted a job as NOTIFY=<MY TSOID> then both my Job and FTP abended with a invalid adress reference. Is this a case in all or there is any reason why my FTP got Abended.

Hi Reddy,

I think since FTP uses mainframe user id and password and then it will transfer the record to PC meanwhile the ID is interupted for notification so it may get Abended as per my knowledge. one more clarification do download the same record which the job will also make use or extract from it????

Thanks for your quick reply. No I am not using the same data. If that is the cause then Any one can submit a job notifying to my ID. If so Always my FTP process (which takes 3-4 Hours) will be Abended. How can I prevent this?? Any one please escalate this to IBM Support Team.

I tried the same case many times and it got abended. So its not any other reason. Its a Tech Fault I think. Please correct me if I am wrong.
