memebr in Use --find the User using it

Hi All,
How can I find a user name (TSO ID) using a member file..since it blocks me from editing the file...I know there is a command but can recollect it...

Hello amitraja,

at 3.4
select the dataset you wish to edit...if it says...member in use....press F1 twice...

It will show you the Data Set Contention Screen...with the userid using it.

hello,

you should be editing the PDS already then try editing the member.. if msg shows then press F1 (as already mentionned) twice.

try below command line command if your shop supports

TSO WHOHAS 'DSN NAME' on command line

or WHOHAS against the dataset in ISPF 3.4 panel

hi,
Press F1 twice when u get the message member in use,
it'll give the user id who is using that particular member

In batch processing it is not possible that different users will use same mainframe ids at the same time
In on line processing like CICS it is possible
