Hi
i need information on the Comp3 data item .

is ist possible to have a data item like S9(19) comp3

What is the maximum size we can store in comp3 dataitem

please let me know i have searched in Roy and dastidar i have not find any information

u can`t define more than s9(18) comp-3.

It is not possible to use a Numeric data having length more then 18.So you cannot use S9(19).

With the later versions of COBOL (beyond COBOLII) the ARITH(EXTEND) compiler option expands the limit to 32 digits.
