| if my jcl has around 10 steps and i have gone till step8,if i have to run step3 next what has to be done(only step3). |

Open your Job in VIEW Mode
Give RESTART=STEP3
Code a Null Stmt after STEP3.
Submit
Also U'll get lots of related topics in the forum, If u make a search.

Will you please make it more clear, which mode you are talking about.
Do you want to come again on STEP3 just after completion of STEP8 & get STEP3 executed only.

In this case u can prepare a new Job with STEP3 only & get it executed after STEP8.
How to SUBMIT a Job within a JOB, U'll get it in previous topics.
