Job Description
Skill: DBA should posses the following database level skills
1. Take care of the Database design and implementation
2. Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures
3. Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
4. Do database tuning and performance monitoring
5. Setup and maintain documentation and standards
6. Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
7. Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 supports when required
8. Do general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams
9. Interface IBM Corporation (DB2) for technical support.
10. DBA will be administers for all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures
11. Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects
12. Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database
13. Experience and knowledge in migrating code, database changes and data through the various stages of the development life cycle
The DBA should posses the following OS specific skills
1. A good knowledge of the operating system (Mainframe)
2. A good knowledge of physical database design
3. Ability to perform both database level and also operating system performance monitoring and the necessary adjustments.
4. Installation, configuration and upgrading of server software and related products (Mainframe)

Qualification: Any fulltime graduation
