Hi,
When I copy a member in a PDS to other PDS, using option 'C'. it changes the profile to "PACK ON".
But when I use 3.3 for the same then the profile is "pack off", only.

Is there any possibilty that I can maintain it to pack off only using option "C".

Thanks,
Mohit

Mohith,

Please check the options when copying...
When you give an option 'C' to copy you will be asked the new member name and dsname...there itself you can even view the options...

Code:
Options
Sequential Disposition        Pack Option         SCLM Setting
   2  1. Mod                     1  1. Default       3  1. SCLM
      2. Old                        2. Pack             2. Non-SCLM

Here if you set the pack option to 1 profile will be pack off only.

did You look at the panels used...

look better and You will see that
using option 3.3
Code:
To Data Set Options:
Sequential Disposition        Pack Option         SCLM Setting
_ 1. Mod                     3  1. Yes           3  1. SCLM
  2. Old                        2. No               2. Non-SCL
                                3. Default          3. As is

You have the option of choosing what to do

using the C line command from the member list
Code:

Sequential Disposition        Pack Option         SCLM Setting
2  1. Mod                     1  1. Default       3  1. SCLM
   2. Old                        2. Pack             2. Non-SCLM
                                                     3. As is

in the second case ( strange behavior )
You can pack but You cannot unpack
default just means ... levae things as they are
